Important Reminders and Information for Coaches
We are very excited to have your team participating in the 10th Annual Clayton Civitan Turkey Bowl. In order to help you prepare for a great weekend of youth football, we have listed below some helpful information and reminders.
TOURNAMENT PACKET
Your tournament packet should be picked up inside the Civitan Building by your head coach or team representative. Your coach wristbands will be in this packet. Your players will receive their wristbands at weigh in. Coaches and players MUST HAVE THESE
WRISTBAND TO ENTER THE GATE.
Your packet should be picked up by your head coach or team representative prior to your weigh in on Friday. You should designate a time for your team to meet in the parking lot to line up for weigh in. IF A COACH OR PLAYER'S NAME IS NOT ON THE ROSTER THEY WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY. Once your packet is picked up, your coaches must get their wristbands from the team representative or coaches. They will not be available from the tournament staff. Additional wristbands will available at the gate, but they will have to be purchased.
ROSTERS, PROOF OF PLAYER AGE/IDENTITY, AND WEIGH IN
Your team will be required to weigh in at a designated time prior to your first game. Please arrive to your weigh in ON TIME and with your entire team present. At weigh in please have your birth certificates, state-issued ID, passports and/or military IDs. Parent must have also signed the player roster ready to be checked. It will help with weigh in if you have your documentation and players lined up in the order they are listed on the roster.
Players will not be allowed to participate if they do not have a valid proof of age document (birth certificate, ID, passport, etc.) and if their parent has not signed the roster. WHEN YOUR TEAM IS WEIGHING IN COACHES ONLY MAY BE PRESENT. NO PARENTS ARE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING DURING WEIGHT IN. THE ONLY PERSON ALLOWED TO OBSERVE OTHER TEAM'S WEIGH INS WILL BE YOUR HEAD COACH. ABSOLUTELY NO ASSISTANT COACHES, TEAM MANAGERS/MOM, OR PARENTS. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Clayton will furnish an approved set of scales for weigh-in. A player may weigh-in wearing a minimum of game jersey and gym shorts. All players will weigh-in at a designated weigh in time approximately 1 hour before the 1st game only.
PLAYER WEIGHT LIMITS
Tournament weight limits are as follows:
IN ORDER FOR THE TOURNAMENT TO RUN ON SCHEDULE IT IS CRUCIAL THAT YOU ARRIVE ON TIME WITH YOUR ENTIRE TEAM PRESENT AND YOUR PAPERWORK COMPLETE!!!
Please review the tournament rules with ALL assistant coaches and with your players and parents. Please pay special attention to the rules regarding weight limits, time limits and game clocks.
GAME TIMES
Games may start up to 30 minutes before scheduled time so please be at the field and prepared to play accordingly. While we make every attempt to avoid schedule changes once the tournament begins, sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances changes may be necessary. It is very important that you have a way to contact each of your players to notify them of changes to the schedule during the tournament.
Each team must provide water bottles or coolers on the sideline for their team. Civitan will provide water and ice.

SPORTSMANSHIP
Unsportsmanlike behavior from any coach, parent, player or fan will not be tolerated. This is a youth football tournament designed to showcase your team’s hard work and to celebrate the player’s accomplishments this past season, while raising money for a non-profit that gives to charities and youth programs in the community. We thank you in advance for helping us keep the tournament experience positive for everyone involved!!

- 8U – 110 pounds; Players weighing 111 – 190 may play from tackle to tackle on the offensive & defensive lines and shall be identified with a stripe on the helmet after weigh-in.
- 10U – 130 pounds; Players weighing 131 – 190 may play from tackle to tackle on the offensive & defensive lines and shall be identified with a stripe on the helmet after weigh-in.
- 12U – 160 pounds; Players weighing 161 – 190 may play from tackle to tackle on the offensive & defensive lines and shall be identified with a stripe on the helmet after weigh-in.
